AN INVITATION

Join us in a restoration project sponsored by the Lyndeborough Trails Association in partnership with the Piscataquog Land Conservancy

Deep in the woods, over the South Branch of the Piscataquog River, lies High Bridge, linking the community trails of Lyndeborough, Francestown and New Boston.  Spanning high above a series of beautiful cascading waterfalls, it is a destination point for families and outdoor recreation.

The restoration of High Bridge is part of the ongoing plan of the Lyndeborough Trails Association (LTA) to preserve open space by increasing the ability to access and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.   The Cross Lyndeborough Trail is a planned network of trails and class 6 roads.  From Lyndeborough, High Bridge will serve as a scenic gateway to the extensive trail systems in New Boston and Francestown

The South Branch of the Piscataquog River, which lies beneath High Bridge, is a New Hampshire Designated/Protected River

A COMMUNITY EFFORT

Planned restoration will include bracing of the main steel beams and removal and replacement of the decking.  Railings and lockable gates will be installed.

Become a part of the effort to restore this beautiful bridge for the recreational enjoyment of present and future generations of hikers, bicyclists, horseback riders, cross-country skiers, snowshoers, photographers, fishermen, nature lovers and trail users of all kinds.
